LITURGICAL MINISTRIES

Altar Servers

Servers assist at Masses on Sundays and weekdays—depending on your class schedule—as well as Exposition & Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Training will be provided for all altar servers.

Readers

Readers assist at Mass by proclaiming the Scripture readings of the day and Prayer of the Faithful on Sundays and during weekday Masses—as their schedule permits. Training will be provided for all readers.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Assist the priest-celebrant, primarily at Sunday Masses, in distributing Holy Communion to our Mass attendants. Training will be provided for all EMHC’s.

Music Ministry

Students musicians work with our director of music, Katy Appelhans, to provide music at Sunday Masses. Musicians—of all capabilities—who sing or play an instrument are welcomed to inquire about joining our Newman music ministry!
